DIGITAL MANUFACTURING COURSE
The focus of this class will be placed on digital fabrication technologies that are used in the wood manufacturing world. These technologies include: CNC routers, laser engraving, sublimation, and vinyl cutting among others. This course will work closely with Eagle Manufacturing where students will be responsible for designing and creating team sports awards, promotional items such as vinyl graphics, and school store items as well as student driven individual projects. This course is 80% lab based. See Mr. Lehman with any questions. The student will pay for the required safety glasses and materials.
EAGLE MANUFACTURING COURSE
Eagle Manufacturing is a class focused on designing, marketing, accounting, and manufacturing customer driven products utilizing processes across the digital manufacturing spectrum. Students will use their individual skills to contribute towards the successful operation of a student run manufacturing business working with real customers from within the community and around the state. Based on the businesses performance, student profit sharing is also a possibility in this class. Jobs within the business include: marketing, accounting, managing, woodworking, metalworking, digital design, and digital manufacturing. Whether you love working in the wood shop all day, creating designs on the computer, or managing people and finances, Eagle Manufacturing has a job for you.
METAL MANUFACTURING TECHNOLOGY I
This course will give students basic instruction in many different areas of metalworking. Over 50% of class time will be devoted to hands-on constructions of projects designed by both the instructor and student. Areas of instruction will include lab and machine safety, hand tools, power tools, measuring tools, materials, sheet metal operations, welding, fabricating, and machine tool operation. Evaluation will be based on written homework and exams, completion and quality of required lab projects. The student will pay a $10 lab fee and
must have safety glasses.
METAL MANUFACTURING TECHNOLOGY II
This course is designed to allow and help students utilize the tasks and competencies learned in Metal Manufacturing Tech I to expand upon their knowledge of metalworking. Advanced projects will be constructed in the machine tool, sheet metal, welding and fabricating areas. This course will also cover milling machines, CNC machines, and advanced methods of welding. Students will participate in a large-scale class project. The student will pay a $10lab fee and must have safety glasses. This is a Transcripted Course with Nicolet College.
