Science Teacher at Northland Pines Middle & High School Email Phone: 715-479-4473 ext. 1203 Hello and Welcome to my website!
I am a Middle School/High School Special Education Teacher for the district. I am very proud to be part of such wonderfully innovative programming here within the district. I have been a part of the Northland Pines Staff for eight years and greatly enjoy it!
I grew up in little Merton, Wisconsin, graduating from Arrowhead High School. I then attended UW-Madison where I obtained my Bachelor of Science, majoring in Zoology. After graduation, I spent two summers working with the Whale Center of New England studying the behaviors of Humpback whales , and was fortunate to teach at the Landmark School during the winter. These wonderful experiences helped me realize that my true passion was to teach. I returned home and received my certification in secondary science from UW-Milwaukee. Shortly after receiving my certification, I began a teaching position at Delavan-Darien High School as a Biology/General Science teacher. I was also fortunate to work with the CHOYSIS program at Delavan-Darien, which works specifically with at-risk freshmen. Almost five years ago, my husband accepted a job transfer to the Eagle River area. Although sad to leave Delavan-Darien, I was very excited to see what new experiences I would find in the Northwoods. Since moving, I have been very busy with my new position here at Northland Pines, obtaining my Master of Education - Professional Development from UW-LaCrosse, and most recently my Special Education Certification through St. Mary's University of Minnesota.
My responsibilities at Northland Pines include working with at-risk students within the high school building.
When not in school, I enjoy reading, watching movies, cheering on the Badgers, participating in outdoor activities and most importantly spending time with my family!
